The wonder of it all

IT’S quite amazing that it has taken until now to feel fully back to work and life again after being away in another country. It’s not just the blue sky I’m not seeing and the dampness of autumn that needs getting used to, but the energy required to adjust to the faster lifestyle.

We do live in a fast technical world. Think emails and online ordering. Driving is hellish fast sometimes, cars whizzing around roundabouts – you certainly need your wits about you just to get onto one or get off one and back onto a main road.

Why do we cram so much into a day… is it to have a day off some time? I have to admit to collapsing last Saturday when I had planned to be doing something responsible. I just ran out of steam and lay on the sofa all day watching an old movie – it was rather wonderful in the end but I had to stop to enjoy it!
