Night-time testing

I have designed new packs to hold the lectric soda crystals (which are used for drawing off fluid) over smaller areas such as ankles and wrists as well as the usual knee/elbow joints and back. In addition, there is now a further option in the form of a square pack or 'pouch' without straps. This can be filled with crystals, placed over a swollen area and secured with whatever bandage or support is handy.

Last night, I decided to try out one of these on myself. I secured one over my knee with an elasticated bandage and went to bed. Four hours is the minimum time to work, overnight is best. I always recommend to lie on a towel when in bed as the pack can become quite damp as it draws fluid from the area. My knee did look slimmer this morning and I had a little giggle because there was not really any puffiness that I knew of around the area, but maybe this could be a new slimming aid?

I’m sure the sceptics will say it was the binding around the pack that held the skin in over night, but I can assure them it was not tight or bound around like the old ‘Kwik Slim’ beauty treatment – does anyone remember that? It was simply the crystals doing their best!
